Big names in photography – What do men have in common?

Photography lovers will certainly have already heard of the famous exhibition “The Family of Man”.

Presented for the first time in 1955, this exhibition was a manifesto for peace and the fundamental equality of humans through humanist post-war photography finally making a permanent move in 1994 to Château de Clervaux, after a journey around the world to more than 160 museums.

Since its creation, this exhibition has presented, in a modern and spectacular way, images from the greats such as Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Dorothea Lange, Robert Doisneau, August Sander or Ansel Adams and has welcomed more than 10 million visitors. It has thus entered into the history of photography as a legendary exhibition and since 2003 has been part of documents inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World register.
