DescriptionDo you dare to go back to the sources of freedom?
This tour brings you face to face with one of the twentieth century’s most terrible battles. Will your fears, emotions and courage allow you to dare return to the sources of freedom?
Your journey begins with a tour of the Luxembourg-Hamm American war cemetery, where General Patton is buried. Then you head to Ettelbruck to visit the General Patton Memorial Museum, which is dedicated to the famous military commander.
Next, the town of Wiltz welcomes you to its magnificent castle, which is home to the Battle of the Ardennes Museum and the National Museum of Brewing, where you enjoy a free beer tasting.
The next day starts at Troisvierges, where you join an official guide to explore the surprising smugglers’ path. Then, once you’ve crossed the border into Belgium, you visit the December 44 Historical Museum at La Gleize to get a clearer picture of how the famous battle changed the course of history. Next you travel to Saint Vith in the Province of Liège for a guided tour of this town with such an unusual past.
On the last day, you travel to Bastogne to visit the 101st Airborne Division Museum, which always makes visitors emotional, followed by a tour of the Bastogne War Museum which offers a new point of view on the Battle of the Ardennes. Linked to the troops from the Commonwealth, the Hotton military cemetery and the Battle of the Ardennes Museum at La Roche-en-Ardenne then tell you – if you didn’t already know – how these men made their glorious contribution to the restoration of our freedom.
