The defence of the crest of Elsenborn and the twin villages. The decisive end to the German offensive.
Come and discover the key-places where the troops had to launch their attack following the German plan and how that failed.
You will first go on the vestiges of the Siegfried Line at Hollerath, departure point of the attack road “A”, and then you will follow your road up to Krinkelt and Rocherath – the famous twin villages -, where the 12th SS Division took a hit.
Your next step will bring you to Hasselpath, where you will discover the vestiges of the American positions kept unspoiled. You will end your visit with the site of Dom Bütgenbach, which put a definitive end to the German break.
An unusual program full of discoveries as you will ever find nowhere else!
