Battlefields of 82nd Airborne. The Elite Corps Paratrooper Division sent to hold the Northern flank of the German break.
Leave and discover the Battlefields of the 82nd Airborne, the Elite Corps Paratrooper Division, whose task was to hold the Northern flank of the German break.
From Werbomont where the Division urgently gathered, you will reach Manhay and then Baraque de Fraiture, where a very few artillerymen decided to hold the crossroads, from then on called “Parker’s Crossroads”.
Afterwards, you will throw yourself at Thier du Mont and de Goronne, places of the counter-attack of January.
You will then go up and down the defence line of the Salm Valley from Vielsalm to Trois-Ponts, through Rochelinval.
You visit will be reaching its end at Cheneux, where the Paras faced Peiper’s SS.
